The work must be identifiable
An accepted instruction needs the property, service, output, limitations and price. Entering a preferred date or paying does not by itself confirm attendance.
The right quantities and quotation
Use the actual bedroom, board, circuit, meter or appliance details for standard domestic checks. Non-standard and project work needs an agreed quotation. A revised scope can require a revised price.
Evidence and access
Provide accurate information and authorised safe access. Identify shared systems, restrictions, known hazards and material changes before the professional attends.
Outcomes and separate work
An assessment or inspection cannot promise a particular rating, satisfactory finding, saving, grant or approval. Repairs, installation and unlisted project studies remain separate unless expressly included.
Consumer rights and changes
Applicable statutory rights continue to apply. Obtain cancellation and early-start information for the actual instruction before work begins. Contact the team promptly about a requested change, using the reference.
